Johnson & Johnson India is hiring for an FP&A Analyst based out of Mumbai



This role will support India Hospital MedTech business, leading the broader finance team through planning cycles, as well as reporting and analytics. Success in this role will require developing relationships with the business unit finance (BUF) team as well as relevant business partners to ensure their financial planning & analytics (FP&A) needs are being met. This role will work closely with other tiers of Finance to maintain an understanding of the broader P&L.



Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.




Key Responsibilities:



  • Support month‑end and quarter‑end close activities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial controls
  • Support short‑ and long‑term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Demonstrate curiosity and agility in learning FP&A systems and digital tools (e.g., Anaplan, TM1, BRAVO), ensuring accurate submissions for all planning cycles ((BP, JU, NU, IBP, MTP) while continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting
  • Analyse financial performance metrics, including variance analysis versus plan, forecast, and prior periods in close partnership with Business Finance and GS teams
  • Prepare recurring and ad‑hoc financial reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations for leadership review
  • Improve the quality, transparency, and usability of financial data through process improvements and standardization
  • Identify trends and risks, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support business decisions
  • Drive Global & Regional FP&A standards / digital capabilities within the MedTech India group
  • Support the FP&A Organization on standardization efforts
  • Develop business acumen within self to improve business insights

Qualifications



  • Chartered Accountant

Required




  • 2-3 years of experience in Finance roles, preferably in FP&A
  • Knowledge of general finance/accounting processes
  • Strong influencer, independent thinking, and strong planning/prioritization are critical to success
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. Pivot Tables, Formulas, VLOOKUP functions)
  • Must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Successful experience of working with virtual teams
