Senior Engineer – Front end

The Opportunity.

We have an outstanding career opportunity for Front end- Senior Engineer at Bangalore location. As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Clumio team, you are a key contributor to the user experiences and UI systems that power the cloud‑native data protection platform. Reporting to an Engineering Director, this role emphasizes strong hands‑on engineering, ownership of frontend components, and close collaboration across functions to deliver reliable, intuitive, and scalable product interfaces.

About the Team

The Frontend Engineering team designs, builds, and maintains the user interfaces that power Clumio's SaaS platform. The team is responsible for delivering intuitive, reliable, and secure user experiences for a mission-critical data protection product. In this context, usability, availability, and operational robustness are essential requirements rather than optional enhancements.

The team builds modern, scalable frontend systems using cloud-native and micro-frontend architectural patterns that enable independent development and deployment of frontend components. This includes ownership of application architecture, shared frameworks, and deployment pipelines that deliver frontend assets globally using AWS infrastructure, including CDN-based delivery through Amazon CloudFront. By emphasizing standardized build and deployment practices, the Frontend team ensures consistent, reliable frontend delivery at scale. Frontend Engineering works closely with product management, design, backend, quality assurance and platform teams to translate complex workflows into clear and cohesive user experiences. As Clumio continues to evolve and scale its platform, the team plays a key role in shaping frontend architecture, improving developer productivity, and ensuring a consistent and dependable user experience across the product.

What you’ll do…

  • You build and improve frontend features and shared UI components that support core workflows across the application. You take ownership of features or UI areas, driving them from implementation through production operation, and continuously refine them based on customer feedback, performance insights, and real‑world usage.
  • You contribute to UI architecture, design discussions, and component development, making sound technical trade-offs that balance usability, performance, maintainability, and consistency.
  • In this role, you spend most of your time writing and reviewing production‑quality TypeScript and React code, diagnosing complex frontend issues, and ensuring high product quality through testing and best practices.
  • You work closely with Product, Design, Backend Developers, and Quality Engineers to deliver polished UI features, improve reliability and performance while staying deeply hands‑on with challenging frontend problems and strengthening the team’s technical foundations.

Who you are…

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4+ years of professional frontend/UI engineering experience in building and operating production-quality web applications, diagnosing UI issues, and improving implementations based on real-world behavior.
  • Deep hands-on experience with modern single-page application frameworks, including React (preferred), Next.js, or Vue.js, with the ability to evaluate and apply framework-level trade-offs at scale.
  • Strong experience with TypeScript, with practical experience building reusable components and modular UI architectures.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or Rollup.
  • Hands-on experience with modern frontend unit testing, including React Testing Library and Jest, along with state management and data-fetching solutions such as React Query (or similar libraries).
  • Highly collaborative and self-driven, with a strong sense of shared ownership and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Security and SaaS experience strongly preferred.

You’ll love working here because:

  • Employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)
  • Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing
  • Annual health check-ups, Car lease Program, and Tuition Reimbursement
  • An inclusive company culture, an opportunity to join our Community Guilds
  • Personal accident cover and Term life cover
