Job Summary
Synechron seeks an experienced GCP DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines across Google Cloud Platform and multi-cloud environments. This role emphasizes hands-on cloud engineering, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable software and data platforms. The ideal candidate will drive cloud-native adoption, optimize performance and costs, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and governance.
Software Requirements
Required Skills (Essential)
Deep hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Proficiency with infrastructure as code using Terraform (and/or CloudFormation when applicable)
Experience configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling
Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and tooling
Experience with monitoring and logging (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring, Stackdriver)
Familiarity with security best practices, IAM, network security, and data protection in cloud environments
Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data management concepts
Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and collaboration tools (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud security services (Cloud IAM policies, encryption, KMS)
Multi-cloud exposure (AWS, Azure) in addition to GCP
Experience with CI/CD automation in enterprise-scale environments
Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and automation platforms
Overall Responsibilities
Design, implement, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP and across multi-cloud environments
Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration, delivery, and deployment
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows
Collaborate with development, QA, data, and security teams to deliver reliable and secure platforms
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance, reliability, and cost of cloud workloads
Define and enforce cloud security controls, governance, and compliance requirements
Develop and maintain runbooks, architecture diagrams, and deployment guidelines
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for automation, observability, and reliability
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in DevOps and cloud operations

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect/Engineer) or IaC/DevOps tools are advantageous
