Job Summary

We are building a new enterprise wide capability — the Governance Enablement Office (GEO) — to radically modernise how Standard Chartered governs itself.



This role strengthens the Bank’s governance backbone by analysing governance structures, maintaining registry accuracy, running effectiveness reviews and supporting simplification outcomes.



The Analyst also embeds meeting‑hygiene standards through coaching and frontline support to Chairs/Secretaries.



You will deliver evidence that drives rationalisation, escalation clarity and governance discipline.



Key Responsibilities

Registry Maintenance & Quality Assurance



Maintain accurate classification, lifecycle, TOR metadata and ownership fields.



Conduct completeness/quality checks; manage corrections and updates.



Structural Diagnostics



Identify duplicative forums, overlaps and escalation gaps.
Provide structural recommendations (removals, merges, redesigns).



Governance Effectiveness Measurement
Analyse effectiveness metrics (decision ratios, cycle times, pack length, meeting cadence).
Highlight behavioural patterns requiring escalation or correction.



Meeting Hygiene Support
Coach Chairs/Secretaries on using GEO templates and standards.
Promote agenda discipline, clarity of ask, decision orientation and follow up rigour.



Rationalisation Support
Support pathfinder deep dives, documentation, quantitative impact analysis.
Track simplification outcomes and benefits.

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.



Success Measures (KPIs)
•    Registry data accuracy and timeliness.
•    Number/impact of simplification actions.
•    Improvements in decision quality and meeting hygiene.
•    Reduction of duplicative or obsolete forums.

Qualification:



   4–8 years in governance, operational risk, COO analytics or process improvement.
•    Experience analysing meeting/committee structures is advantageous.
•    Strong analytical and facilitation skills.



Skills and Experience
  • Governance Experience: Governance meeting packs, Templates, coordinated with Secretaries and Co-Secretaries on Governance Meetings, Risk Business/Function & preparing packs and Reports
  • Data Accuracy: Support governance committees and council meetings, including managing agendas and tracking actions.  Previous experience in risk management, internal audit, corporate compliance, or data governance. Proficient in data analysis, reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, PowerPoint), and dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Exposure to ERMF: Standards, Policies and other Risk Business aspects. Documentation & Record Keeping, Good communication skills and Business exposure of any of the Business or Function in SCB/Other Financial institutions.
  • Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work with senior stakeholders
