Role Summary


The Group Lead – HTR (Payroll & HR Business Services) will lead global payroll and HR operations delivery from the GCC, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across regions.


This role will oversee payroll processes, vendor governance, and HR transactional services while driving standardization, automation, and service excellence aligned with global HR strategy.


Key Responsibilities


1. Global Payroll & HR Ops Delivery


  • Lead end-to-end global payroll operations across regions (multi-country exposure)
  • Ensure accurate, timely payroll processing, statutory compliance, and reporting
  • Oversee HR transactional services including employee lifecycle, documentation, and queries

2. Process Excellence & Transformation


  • Drive standardization and centralization of payroll & HR processes across GCC
  • Identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement
  • Leverage tools such as Workday and HR systems to improve efficiency and accuracy

3. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management


  • Ensure adherence to global payroll compliance, taxation, and audit requirements
  • Manage internal and external audits, controls, and data accuracy
  • Mitigate risks related to payroll errors, statutory non-compliance, and data privacy

4. Stakeholder & Vendor Management


  • Partner with global HR leaders, finance teams, and regional stakeholders
  • Manage payroll vendors and ensure SLA adherence and service delivery excellence
  • Act as a trusted advisor on payroll operations, compliance, and process improvements

5. Team Leadership & Capability Building


  • Lead a team of payroll and HR operations professionals
  • Build a high-performance, process-driven team culture
  • Drive team capability in global payroll, compliance, and HR systems

6. Service Delivery & Employee Experience


  • Ensure high-quality employee experience for payroll and HR services
  • Improve turnaround time, query resolution, and service efficiency
  • Monitor and enhance service KPIs (accuracy, timeliness, SLA adherence)

7. Analytics & Reporting


  • Deliver payroll dashboards and insights to leadership
  • Track metrics such as payroll accuracy, processing timelines, compliance adherence, and service efficiency
  • Use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Experience


  • MBA / Master’s degree in HR, Finance, or related field
  • 10–14 years of experience in Payroll / HR Operations / Shared Services
  • 4–6 years of people leadership experience, preferably in GCC / global setups
  • Strong exposure to multi-country payroll and HR shared services

Key Skills & Competencies


  • Deep expertise in global payroll operations & compliance
  • Strong understanding of HR shared services / GCC models
  • Experience with HR systems (Workday, payroll tools, service platforms)
  • Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
  • Data-driven mindset with focus on KPIs, governance, and automation
