Key Responsibilities Tester Development & Integration • Design, build, and maintain subsystem testers, including: o Power distribution and protection o Signal conditioning and measurement o Control, interlocks, and safety circuits • Develop custom test hardware including fixture schematics, wiring harnesses, and test jigs. • Integrate testers with: o Mechanical fixtures o Sensors, actuators, power electronics, and embedded systems o Lab and production environments Electrical Characterization & Debugging • Perform electrical characterization of subsystems: o Voltage/current measurements o Signal integrity and timing analysis o Noise, grounding • Troubleshoot complex issues involving: o Analog and digital electronics o Power supplies, converters, and motor drives o Communication interfaces (I²C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet, USB) Hands On Lab Execution • Support & own test execution in the lab, including: o Bring up of new testers and subsystems o Debug under schedule pressure o Support for design verification and troubleshooting activities • Use lab equipment extensively, including: o Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, power analyzers o Environmental and stress testing setups (as applicable) Collaboration • Work closely with: o Design engineers (EE, ME, firmware, systems) o Manufacturing ________________________________________ Required Qualifications • BTech or Equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or related field • 7+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience, with the majority focused on: o Test system or tester development o Subsystem level electrical integration and characterization • Demonstrated experience designing, circuit analysis and debugging: o Analog and digital circuits o Power electronics and low voltage/high current systems o Demonstrated experience in complex electrical system design and integration o Strong analytical skill in circuit analysis, failure diagnostics o Strong in logical reasoning and ability in root cause analysis and proactive corrective actions. • Strong practical troubleshooting skills using lab instrumentation • Experience taking test systems from concept → build → bring up → sustained support • Ability to work directly in the lab and drive issues to closure • Ability to clearly document designs, test results, and design changes • Experience across the product development lifecycle is a plus • Strong interpersonal and communication skills ________________________________________ Strongly Preferred Experience • Digital, analog and mixed circuit • Embedded subsystems • Motion control systems • Sensor and transducer technologies • Power distribution subsystems • Proficiency with communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, RS-232, and RS485. • Understanding of design considerations for EMI/EMC, thermal management, and reliability • Experience in manufacturing support and DFM/DFT ________________________________________ What We Look for in the Resume We are specifically looking for evidence of: • Hands on hardware ownership, not only analysis or oversight • Direct tester development (schematics, wiring, fixtures) • Subsystem integration and bring up work • Real troubleshooting examples, not just theoretical design • Consistent execution in lab-based roles over the last 5 years ________________________________________ Work Style & Mindset • Practical, “get it working” engineering mindset • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, early development environments • Strong ownership of problems from discovery to resolution • Collaborative, but able to work independently in the lab
