Position: Infrastructure, Cloud & Security Architect

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure, Cloud & Security Architect to lead the design, implementation, security, automation, and operations of our enterprise infrastructure and cloud environments. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for building scalable, secure, resilient, and highly available platforms while ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and business continuity.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise across cloud infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, automation, DevSecOps, disaster recovery, and enterprise architecture. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, product, operations, and business teams to deliver secure and reliable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS.
• Architect scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms.
• Build and manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent).
• Design multi-environment deployment strategies for development, testing, staging, and production.
• Drive cloud modernization and infrastructure optimization initiatives.

Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

• Manage enterprise Windows and Linux server environments.
• Design and maintain networking components including Load Balancers, Firewalls, VPNs, NAT, DNS, Reverse Proxies, and Virtual Networks.
• Administer storage, virtualization, compute, and enterprise infrastructure services.
• Manage backup infrastructure and recovery solutions.

Information Security

• Design and implement secure infrastructure following security-by-design principles.
• Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM), SSO, MFA, RBAC, and Privileged Access Management.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates, secrets management, encryption, and key management.
• Secure cloud platforms, Kubernetes environments, and enterprise workloads.
• Implement network segmentation, Zero Trust architecture, and endpoint security.
• Conduct infrastructure hardening and security baseline implementation.
• Support vulnerability management, remediation, and security risk reduction.

Security Operations

• Manage and optimize enterprise security tools including SIEM, EDR, IAM, DLP, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Support incident response, threat investigations, and security monitoring.
• Implement security automation and orchestration where applicable.
• Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen the organization's security posture.

High Availability & Business Continuity

• Design High Availability (HA) architectures across multiple regions and availability zones.
• Define and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
• Establish backup policies, recovery procedures, and business continuity plans.
• Define and achieve RPO, RTO, and service availability objectives.
• Conduct disaster recovery testing and resilience assessments.

Automation & DevSecOps

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational processes.
• Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement policy-as-code and infrastructure governance practices.
• Improve operational efficiency through automation and standardization.

Monitoring & Operations

• Implement enterprise monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability solutions.
• Perform proactive performance tuning, capacity planning, and root cause analysis.
• Ensure infrastructure reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Define operational standards, documentation, and best practices.

Compliance & Governance

• Support compliance initiatives including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Participate in internal and external security audits.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure and security documentation.
• Implement governance controls for cloud, infrastructure, and security operations.

Cost Optimization

• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs.
• Recommend architecture improvements for performance and cost efficiency.
• Drive infrastructure utilization and resource optimization initiatives.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, IT, and Security teams.
• Support customer security assessments, technical due diligence, and infrastructure-related RFPs/RFIs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and operations teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, and Information Security.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar tools.
• Strong networking knowledge including Firewalls, Load Balancers, VPNs, DNS, NAT, Proxies, and Routing.
• Deep understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM), SSO, MFA, RBAC, and directory services.
• Experience with enterprise security technologies including SIEM, EDR, DLP, Vulnerability Management, and Endpoint Security.
• Strong experience with Windows and Linux administration.
• Experience implementing High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup, and Business Continuity solutions.
• Hands-on scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks, Zero Trust, and infrastructure hardening.
• Experience supporting ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar compliance programs.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or cybersecurity certifications.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Security Center, or equivalent security platforms.
• Experience with container security and cloud-native security solutions.
• Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices.
• Experience working in SaaS or product engineering environments.
• Exposure to AI-enabled security tools and automation.
