The Intern-Systems Engineering will be based in Hyderabad and will be getting opportunity to work on complex R&D Programs related to various Tracker solutions within Nextpower. The candidate is expected to possess sound Mechanical / Applied Physics engineering knowledge to perform various load calculations, FEA, develop simulation models and to assist in systems level testing at Center for Solar Excellence, Hyderabad. The candidate is also expected to have reasonable programming knowledge in Matlab/Simulink, Python for automating calculations and will work closely with Cross functional teams to consolidate design efforts.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:



  • Assist in system level design for various Tracker solutions and analyze behaviors related to Mechanical/Structural domain.
  • Perform product failure mode analysis from testing and reverse engineering.
  • Assist in various System level testing ( @ Field).
  • Work on developing and establishing standard Matlab/ Python based tools related to Design Optimization
  • Perform and manage engineering work using CAD/CAE software to solve problems in mechanical/structural design, finite element analysis, design optimization, fatigue analysis, structural dynamics and kinematics, vibrations, thermal analysis and plastic part design.
  • Documentation and report out.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)



  • Master’s Degree/Ph.D in Structural/Mechanical/ Applied Physics Engineering with excellent academic record
  • Toolsets required: Solid works, Ansys FEA, Matlab, Simulink, Python and equivalent
  • Sound Knowledge in Structural/Mechanical analysis and design ( Related Project level experience will be preferred)
  • Strong aptitude in mechanical failure analysis
  • Must possess solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in Open Sees environment is a big plus.
  • Willingness to assist in Field Testing for a span of 3 to 6 months.
