Java Lead Engineer _ Vice President _Software Engineering 


We’re seeking someone to join our Finance Operations & Risk Tech team as a Java Professional, in Risk Technology to manage, develop and design the Java Application with good exposure on springboot, microservices and system designing.


Risk Technology supports the aggregation and monitoring of risks across all global business and products. We own cross-asset applications and services to support and enable risk management consolidation, calculation, analysis and reporting, federal marking, model inventory control, limit setting, and frameworks monitoring. In addition, these services are used to meet global regulatory requirements.


In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Principal Software Engineer position at Vice President Level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:


  • Work on developing new and enhancing existing Market Risk applications.


  • Be part of an Agile squad with members in India, Budapest, Montreal, London, and New York, following Agile principles and applying DevOps practices.


  • Be able to work with our business partners.


  • Shape the tooling and technology landscape of Risk Management, by introducing tools enabling better business processes required for meeting Firm's regulatory obligations


What you’ll bring to the role:


  • 12+ years hands-on experience with Java, Spring, RDBMS.


  •  Strong object oriented design and development skills, data-structures and algorithms, and design patterns.


  • Excellent analytical ability.


  • Strong experience with relational databases logical modelling.


  • Strength in querying large relational databases in an optimized manner.


  • A culture of incorporating unit test cases when designing systems using Junit.


  • Ability to write scripts in Shell/Perl/Python.


  • Strong collaboration and communication skills. The candidate will work in a global team where clear and concise communication skills are a must.
    Work independently following proper coding standards.


  • Exposure to leveraging AI agents and automation tools across software development, validation, and production deployment.


  • At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
