Job Description

We are hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer to support our cloud modernization initiatives within Credit & Verification Services. This is a hybrid role based in Hyderabad, requiring approximately 40% office attendance each month.


In this role, you will lead an Agile DevOps team responsible for delivering the Credit Report Cloud Foundation Platform backlog.


You will be #LI-hybrid based in Hyderabad and reporting to Director Engineering.


You will work closely with engineering teams to enable reliable infrastructure provisioning, automation, and cloud-native platform capabilities. The role includes leadership responsibilities across platform engineering, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, cloud operations, security, and operational reliability.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and support a team of DevOps engineers, promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to support the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support multiple engineering teams.
  • Develop and maintain reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) components using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
  • Provision, manage, and optimize AWS infrastructure to support availability, scalability, and performance requirements.
  • Integrate DevSecOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities across platforms and services.
  • Ensure infrastructure aligns with security, compliance, scalability, and cost management requirements.
  • Drive automation across engineering workflows, infrastructure management, and deployment processes.
  • Provide technical leadership for non-functional requirements, including reliability, scalability, performance, and operational resilience.
  • Participate in Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, refinement sessions, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve platform capabilities, operational efficiency, and engineering practices through automation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, MCA, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, including 2+ years leading engineering teams.
  • Experience building and supporting cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience working with stakeholders across engineering and business functions.
  • Experience analyzing technical challenges and supporting solution delivery.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and participating in sprint planning, refinement sessions, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience identifying opportunities to automate and optimize engineering workflows.

Required Technical Skills


  • Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Harness, AWS CodeBuild/CodeDeploy, or Azure Pipelines.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CDK, and/or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts including IP addressing, DNS, routing, firewalls, and web application firewalls (WAFs).
  • Experience scripting and automation using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Experience developing and operating containerized platforms using Docker and Kubernetes, including Amazon EKS.
  • Knowledge of cloud security practices and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Experience leading teams and contributing to Agile delivery practices.

Additional Skills


  • Experience with GitHub Enterprise and GitOps practices.
  • Knowledge of serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and Step Functions.
  • Exposure to AI/ML tools and their integration into DevOps workflows.
  • Knowledge of FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization.
  • AWS certifications, such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.
  • Experience using Generative AI (GenAI) within DevSecOps and software engineering practices.
