Thickening product line is one of the key products in mining processing industry and used to concentrate solids from slurry and tailing
management.


Your Responsibilities
  • Lead product standardization initiatives to improve design consistency, increase component reuse, and reduce engineering complexity across the mining product portfolio.
  • Develop, review, and approve 3D models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using SolidWorks.
  • Create and maintain standard parts, design libraries, templates, and engineering guidelines to support efficient and standardized product development.
  • Perform detail engineering activities while ensuring compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and industry codes.
  • Drive design optimization, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, manufacturability, and cost competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and project engineering, to resolve technical issues and deliver optimized engineering solutions.
  • Support modular product development and configuration management to enable scalable and standardized product designs.
  • Review and validate engineering documentation, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
  • Lead and coordinate designers and quality checkers to ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance with engineering guidelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and designers on SolidWorks best practices, detail engineering, and product standardization.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage engineering automation, CTO/configurator tools, and digital design processes to improve productivity and reduce design cycle time.
  • Ensure all engineering deliverables meet project timelines, quality objectives, and organizational standards while supporting business and customer requirements.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering .
  • 8–14 years of experience in product engineering and detail engineering, preferably in the mining, heavy equipment.
  • Strong expertise in product standardization, modular product development, and engineering best practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, including part modeling, large assemblies, sheet metal, weldments, and manufacturing drawing creation.
  • Solid understanding of detail engineering, GD&T, manufacturing processes, and engineering documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Experience with PDM/PLM systems such as Enovia or SolidWorks PDM.
  • Knowledge of value engineering principles to deliver cost-effective and manufacturable designs.
  • Familiarity with mining equipment such as Thickener, Clarifier or similar heavy industrial products.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, mentor engineering teams, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions within project timelines.
  • Experience in Analysis software will be an added advantage.
