Lead – Strategic Sourcing

The client is an international life sciences company, providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries, to make life and the environment safer, healthier and more sustainable.

An Ideal Candidate:

An ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the NSC Procurement Department for the North America-based Eurofins companies. You will typically be responsible for one or more of the Spend Categories (e.g. Consumables, Clinical, Service Contracts, Capex, Logistics, IT, Indirects or others) and refine processes as well as execute new category strategies as they pertain to current projects.

Key Competencies:

1.Managing a purchasing team and overseeing a portion of the purchasing scope within the US/Canada Purchasing division.

2.Full end-to-end ownership of the team and associated categories in scope, including project identification, sourcing leadership, and prioritization in alignment with the Category Manager. Responsible for managing the savings plan to deliver significant value.

3.Team Leadership in Sourcing Integration for new acquisitions by engaging suppliers to harmonize pricing and payment terms, ensuring a smooth transition.

4.Ownership of the overall project pipeline while assisting the team in developing a robust pipeline. This includes prioritizing projects, appropriately assigning resources, and ensuring the team maintains a sharp focus on delivering value to Eurofins.

5.Obtain significant cost savings in your Categories of scope/Projects for Eurofins companies with increasing level of quality and lower delivery time.

6.Managing relationship with stakeholders up to Business Line Leadership and effectively collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the organizational priorities.

7.Influence BU leaders and support the team through the change management (including set-up of test plans) to ensure sourcing practices, processes and tools are adopted across the organization.
