The Lead Software Architect will be responsible for ensuring the design and development of software architecture aligns with business objectives and scalability. You will partner cross-functionally to define system requirements and design solutions that integrate seamlessly into complex engineering systems. You will be responsible for driving innovation through prototyping and evaluating new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance development processes

Responsibilities:

· Provides technical and architecture leadership for one of the release trains in connected buildings


· Participates in NPI process from early gates (G1, G2) till the product gets to GA. Owns solution architecture, Architecture risks and associated mitigation plans


· Leads and participates in the SDLC activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the Connected buildings applications


· Leads the team of architects within the release train and runs the regular architecture cadence


· Collaborates effectively with RTPO, Product Managers and UX team in making sure product backlogs are groomed to high standards


· Partner with other CB teams as well as BMS and other HCE teams to ensure correct technology decisions are made in line with the broader Forge Platform


· Improve speed to market and application quality by utilizing testing best practices, release automation, component releases and release strategies.


· Be a technology evangelist that supports other team members to adopting and implementing technology to improve the application.


· Lead and recommend architecture strategies, processes and methodologies


· Collaborates with all relevant parties to review the objectives and constraints of each solution and determine conformance with the future architecture. Recommends the most suitable technical architecture and defines the solution at a high level


· Identifies and recommends areas appropriate for further study and participates in any Proof-of-Concept projects required to thoroughly investigate architectural possibilities and strengthen arguments for their adoption


· Identifies implementation risks and analyses potential impact on the enterprise and on the achievement of scheduled objectives


· Recommends and participates in the design and implementation of standards, tools and methodologies.



Qualifications:

You Must Have


· BTech/BE in Computer Science/Engineering or MCA


· Should have played lead architect role handling architecture for one or two complex products for 5+ years


· 10+ years’ experience in the Power and Electrical domain, with hands on development experience on EPMS system.


· Good knowledge in SOLID design principles & architecture/design patterns.


· Good working knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Processes


· Proficiency in cross-platform frameworks like .NET Core, NodeJS


· Proficiency in Networking, Protocols: TCP/IP, IP addresses, HTTP, DNS


· Good understanding Security concepts


· Proficiency in database technologies


· Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes or Openshift and related container platform ecosystems


· Proficiency in any one of Cloud technologies: Azure, AWS


· Should have Designed/Implemented, Deployed and Managed the Cloud solution by using any of the Cloud technologies, preferably using Cloud agnostic technologies.


· Experience with Honeywell Forge Platform is good to have, but not mandatory


· Ability to communicate risk, reward, and complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
