Job description

What you’ll do:

"The Manager – Programmatic Builds will lead a cross-functional Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team responsible for programmatic industrialization of Datacenter-centric Engineer-to-Order (ETO) electrical assemblies across Eaton’s Electrical sector.
This role owns the end-to-end industrialization strategy, governance, and scalable deployment of Programmatic Builds, ensuring standardized, repeatable, and digitally enabled manufacturing systems across focus plants. The leader will drive rapid deployment, stabilization, and replication of high-mix, low-volume ETO production lines (switchboards, LV/MV switchgear, busways), while enabling sustainable improvements in productivity, quality, and schedule adherence.
The role acts as the central integrator between global industrialization teams, plant manufacturing engineering, launch leaders, and divisional stakeholders, ensuring consistent execution rigor, adoption of digital backbone (MES/ERP/SIOP), and creation of scalable replication kits for enterprise-wide rollout.
Additionally, the role is accountable for building organizational capability—including talent, standards, and governance frameworks—to transition programmatic builds from pilot success to enterprise-scale deployment."

"1. Programmatic Build Strategy & Deployment Governance

• Define and execute the Programmatic Build roadmap for Datacenter ETO products across target plants.
• Establish deployment governance frameworks (PMO cadence, gating models, RASI, acceptance criteria) ensuring consistent execution.
• Own replication strategy—industrialization kits, deployment playbooks, and plant onboarding methodology.
• Align with global stakeholders to ensure standardization across divisions and geographies.

2. Industrialization Leadership & Shopfloor Execution Excellence

• Lead end-to-end industrialization: process design, work instructions, tooling, fixtures, testers, and production system validation.
• Govern PTR / PPAP readiness, run-off, and production stabilization for ETO builds.
• Ensure seamless integration of production lines into plant layouts and digital systems (MES/SCADA).
• Drive execution rigor for high-mix, low-volume builds with focus on first-time-right launch and ramp stability.

3. Reindustrialization & Capacity Unlock

• Lead transformation of existing plants through simulation-driven layout redesign, flow optimization, and bottleneck resolution.
• Deploy lean methodologies (VSM, MTM/MOST) to improve throughput, flexibility, and changeover efficiency.
• Enable retrofit automation and system upgrades to unlock latent capacity.
• Improve material flow, inventory control, and routing standardization aligned to ETO complexity

4. Digital Backbone & Systems Integration

• Drive implementation of standard digital stack for Programmatic Builds:
• MES / Historian / SCADA integration / ERP / SIOP connectivity, Traceability, SPC, and quality data loops
• Establish real-time KPI visibility through factory dashboards and loss intelligence systems.
• Standardize digital work instructions, process flows, and configuration control mechanisms.

5. Stakeholder Leadership & Capability Building

• Collaborate with: Global industrialization teams, Plant manufacturing engineering, Launch and program leaders, Divisional leadership
• Build and scale team capabilities across industrialization, ETO builds, and digital manufacturing systems.
• Establish a strong pipeline of talent and technical capability to sustain Programmatic Build initiatives.
"
