Job Role Description
An Advanced Marine Engineer supporting deepwater assets is responsible for the design, analysis, and lifecycle support of floating offshore structures and associated marine systems. This includes ensuring the structural integrity and operational reliability of floating production units (FPUs), tension leg platforms (TLPs), and other deepwater facilities. A key focus is on mooring systems, where the engineer evaluates performance under dynamic environmental conditions, supports installation and inspection campaigns, and ensures compliance with industry codes and regulatory standards. The role also involves hydrodynamic analysis, fatigue assessments, and integration of marine systems with topside operations
This position requires a strong foundation in naval architecture, marine engineering, and offshore operations, along with experience in advanced modeling tools and real-time monitoring systems. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot operational issues, optimize asset performance, and implement innovative solutions that enhance safety and efficiency. Offshore travel may be required to support inspections, commissioning, or incident investigations. A proactive approach to risk management, continuous improvement, and technology adoption is essential for success in this role

Job Role Responsibilities
Support the design, analysis, and integrity management of floating offshore structures - including FPSOs, TLPs, semi-submersibles, FLNGs, and FSRUs - ensuring compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and class society rules to uphold the company’s license to operate
Embed SHE principles into engineering deliverables by applying risk-based methodologies to station keeping, offloading systems, and hydrodynamic performance, reducing exposure to operational hazards and enhancing lifecycle safety
Contribute to cost competitiveness by identifying engineering solutions that reduce offloading turnaround times, enhance project execution efficiency, and improve inspection and maintenance strategies across floating systems, including LNG and cryogenic operations
Provide technical support for mooring and station keeping systems, including design validation, performance monitoring, and anomaly resolution, to ensure long-term reliability and operational readiness in deepwater environments
Assist in the delivery of capital projects and brownfield modifications, offering expertise in floating system integration, hydrodynamic behavior, hull structure optimization, and offloading system design from early-phase development through execution
Participate in technology development initiatives, including the application of digital twins, real-time monitoring, automation, and advanced simulation techniques to improve predictive maintenance, structural performance, and lifecycle integrity
Support risk management activities by contributing to hazard identification, failure mode assessments, and mitigation planning for floating systems and their interfaces with marine operations, including conventional tankers and gas carriers
Engage with industry bodies and technical forums to stay current with evolving standards, share lessons learned, and contribute to the advancement of best practices in floating structure design, environmental performance, and system integrity
