As a Mechanical Designer Level II with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.


  • Responsible for performing HVAC design activities using project approved “in house” 3D CAD modelling and 2D drafting systems.
  • Produce the various HVAC discipline deliverables to the agreed schedules.
  • Apply recognized onshore/offshore engineering practices applicable to HVAC design and layouts.
  • Apply good interpersonal skills, liaising with members of other disciplines and departments.
  • Apply an awareness and willingness to work as a team member.
  • Quality Assurance – work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.
  • Safety – Responsible for personal safety and working within the Occupational Health & Safety procedures.

About You


To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


  • Diploma of engineering or equivalent.
  • Familiar with the prime drivers related to onshore/offshore HVAC layout design.
  • Software knowledge: AutoCAD, Aveva E3D, MicroStation (preferable), BIM (preferable), etc.
  • Minimum 6 - 8years proven experience of detailed HVAC piping design gained with design contractors and/or oil/gas companies within the petrochemical industry particularly with respect to onshore/offshore oil and gas installations.
  • A good knowledge of the codes and standards.
  • Should be able to handle multi-projects work deliverables at a time.
  • Should be able to perform External static pressure calculations, generate BOQ's from 2D and 3D layouts.
