The Sourcing Specialist supports the development, management, and evaluation of suppliers to ensure the delivery of quality products and services at competitive costs. This role is responsible for analyzing supplier performance, maintaining supplier databases, supporting sourcing strategies, and contributing to cost optimization initiatives. The individual will assist in supplier selection, supplier performance assessments, contract administration, and commodity lifecycle management while ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement standards.


What You Will Do


Supplier Management


  • Support the identification, qualification, and development of suppliers to meet business requirements.
  • Maintain supplier records and databases, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Evaluate supplier capability, quality, delivery performance, reliability, and cost competitiveness.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and participate in supplier improvement initiatives.

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement


  • Assist in the execution of sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Support RFQ/RFP processes, supplier negotiations, and supplier selection activities.
  • Participate in cost-saving and value engineering initiatives.
  • Support commodity management activities and lifecycle planning.

Contract & Commercial Support


  • Assist in contract review, administration, and compliance monitoring.
  • Support negotiation activities within approved authority limits.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with corporate policies and ethical sourcing standards.

Reporting & Analytics


  • Develop and maintain sourcing metrics, dashboards, and supplier scorecards.
  • Analyze procurement data and prepare reports to support decision-making.
  • Track supplier performance, spend trends, and sourcing project progress.

Cross-Functional Collaboration


  • Work closely with operations, engineering, quality, planning, and finance teams to support business requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve supplier-related issues and ensure continuity of supply.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management.
  • Associate Degree / Diploma with a minimum of 6 years of relevant procurement or sourcing experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge of sourcing principles, supplier management, and procurement processes.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
