Job Description

Job Purpose:


The Network Engineer provides hands‑on engineering, implementation, and operational support for the organization’s global network infrastructure. Working under the direction of the Head of Cloud & Networks, the role is responsible for deploying, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise network technologies including WAN, LAN, SDWAN, firewalls, wireless, VPN, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and network security controls.
The Network Engineer ensures that all network services are secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with corporate standards and policies derived from the enterprise cloud and network strategy.


Duties:


  • Implement, configure, and support enterprise network technologies including switching, routing, firewalls, SDWAN, wireless, VPN, and network segmentation.
  • Perform hands‑on administration of AT&T/DXC-managed SDWAN, MPLS, WAN circuits, and global connectivity services.
  • Execute network changes, upgrades, and maintenance windows following established change management processes.
  • Respond to network incidents, analyze root causes, perform remediation, and drive continuous improvement of network reliability.
  • Deploy and maintain DNS, DHCP, IP address management (IPAM), NAC, perimeter firewalls, and zero‑trust network components.
  • Support network architecture initiatives by contributing technical input, validating designs, and completing implementation tasks.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and security posture using enterprise tools and dashboards.
  • Produce technical documentation, runbooks, diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure all work aligns with security controls, audit requirements, and corporate IT governance.

Qualifications

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Education


  • Experience: 3-5 years in Network Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIP, Fortinet NSE, AWS Networking Specialty).

Knowledge


  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SDWAN, routing, switching, and wireless architectures.
  • Hands‑on experience with firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco), VPN, and network security concepts.
  • Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, IPAM platforms and zero‑trust methodologies.
  • Experience supporting global network environments, carrier circuits, and telecom services (AT&T/DXC or similar).
  • Working knowledge of cloud networking concepts (AWS VPC, Google Cloud VPC, security groups, routing).
  • Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST, ISO27001, SOC2).

  • Strong troubleshooting expertise across network layers (L1–L7).
  • Ability to interpret network architectures, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration across technical and business teams.
