CSA – Primary Computer Science Teacher

Purpose of Role

To deliver engaging and age-appropriate Computer Science lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum, developing students' digital literacy, computational thinking, foundational coding skills, and responsible use of technology through interactive and hands-on learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science / ICT to primary students (Grades I–V) in alignment with the CBSE curriculum.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that develop digital literacy and foundational computing skills.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, interactive activities, and basic coding exercises.
• Complete the prescribed syllabus within the academic timeline.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Conduct formative and summative assessments as per the school's assessment policy.
• Evaluate classwork, practical activities, projects, and assignments.
• Maintain accurate student records and prepare progress reports.
• Provide additional support and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

Practical & Lab Management

·Conduct hands-on computer lab sessions using educational software and age-appropriate coding platforms.

• Ensure the safe, responsible, and effective use of computer lab resources and ICT equipment.
• Encourage activity-based, experiential, and project-based learning.

Student Development

• Foster digital literacy, creativity, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Promote responsible technology use, online safety, and digital citizenship.
• Encourage participation in school ICT activities, coding events, and technology-based projects.
