Job description

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are hiring a Managing Director to lead the strategy, delivery, and enterprise‑scale adoption of agent‑based automation across global financial services operations. This role sits within the Global Delivery Simplification organization and is accountable for transforming how complex, control‑intensive operational processes are executed using agentic AI in a highly regulated environment.

The Managing Director will own the end‑to‑end product portfolio for agent‑driven solutions across Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Transfer Agency, and Custody, with full accountability for value realization, risk posture, and sustained operational performance at scale.

This role combines senior product leadership, people management, and executive‑level stakeholder accountability, requiring strong judgment, organizational influence, and ownership of outcomes well beyond initial delivery.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Managing Director leads multiple cross‑functional PODs responsible for conceiving, delivering, scaling, and governing agentic AI solutions across core business services including Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Transfer Agency, and Custody.

The role is accountable for enterprise‑level product strategy, investment prioritization, roadmap governance, and value realization of agent‑based automation, ensuring solutions deliver material operational impact while meeting regulatory, audit, data governance, and model risk management expectations.

Success in this role requires the ability to set clear strategic direction, balance innovation with operational resilience, and institutionalize controls, auditability, and explainability as non‑negotiable product standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own enterprise‑level business outcomes for agent‑based automation, including efficiency, capacity, quality, client experience, and risk reduction.
• Define and communicate the long‑term vision and strategy for agentic AI across global operations.
• Set strategic priorities across Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Transfer Agency, and Custody based on materiality, risk, and value.
• Sponsor identification and sequencing of high‑impact automation opportunities across the operating model.
• Ensure alignment of product strategy with regulatory expectations, enterprise AI risk frameworks, and control standards.
• Govern translation of simplification objectives into coherent product portfolios, roadmaps, and investment cases.
• Provide executive oversight of agile delivery, ensuring consistency of standards, outcomes, and operational readiness across PODs.
• Own the full lifecycle governance of agentic AI solutions, including approval frameworks, human‑in‑the‑loop models, escalation design, and decommissioning decisions.
• Establish enterprise standards for controls, auditability, explainability, and evidence capture in agent‑based solutions.
• Set materiality thresholds, risk tolerances, and escalation models for autonomous and semi‑autonomous execution.
• Make portfolio‑level decisions to scale, pause, remediate, or retire agents based on performance, risk, and value realization.
• Oversee production performance management including accuracy trends, systemic failure patterns, and control effectiveness.
• Lead and develop senior Product Owners and product leaders, setting clear expectations and accountability for outcomes.
• Partner with senior operations, risk, compliance, audit, data, and technology leaders to ensure enterprise alignment.
• Define, track, and report value realization, risk metrics, and control outcomes to executive governance forums.
• Represent Global Delivery Simplification in senior leadership discussions related to AI strategy, operational resilience, and regulatory engagement.

SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES
• Advanced product leadership capability, including portfolio strategy, investment governance, and organizational alignment.
• Exceptional judgment in balancing automation ambition, operational risk, regulatory scrutiny, and reputational considerations.
• Proven experience leading and developing senior product and delivery leaders.
• Executive‑level communication and influencing skills across business, technology, and control functions.
• Deep expertise in one or more operational domains (Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Transfer Agency, or Custody) with enterprise perspective.
• Strong understanding of agentic AI risk, evaluation, monitoring, and control design at scale.
• Ability to interpret enterprise‑level telemetry, systemic risk signals, and performance trends.
• Deep understanding of data governance, model risk management, and audit expectations in regulated environments.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 12+ years of experience leading products, platforms, or transformations in complex, regulated operational environments.
• Senior leadership experience in global financial services operations.
• Demonstrated ownership of enterprise‑scale automation or AI portfolios.
• Extensive experience working with risk, compliance, audit, and regulators.
• Proven track record of scaling solutions into sustained business‑as‑usual operations.
• Experience operating in product‑centric, agile organizations at scale.
