Main Accountabilities - Responsibilities, Tasks & Interactions:
• Strategic Sourcing: Developing and executing procurement strategies that align with company goals.
• Negotiation: Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
• Vendor Management: Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakehold-ers.
• Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels to optimize stock turnover and reduce holding costs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, such as Operations, Finance, and Production, to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with business goals
• Evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
• Reviewing and processing requisitions and purchase orders.
• Preparing reports and updates as needed.
Requirements - Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) are highly desirable.
• Proven experience of 5+ years in a procurement role, with at least 2+ years in a senior position
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
• Analytical skills for cost analysis, forecasting, and supplier evaluation.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Senior Buyer typically works in an office environment but may be required to travel occasionally to meet with suppliers or attend industry events.
