Job description

Product Manager

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation united by a mission to bring new medicines and treatments to patients faster.

As a values-driven organisation, integrity, collaboration, agility, and inclusion are at the heart of how we work and interact with each other, customers, patients and suppliers.

At ICON, we build technology solutions that accelerate clinical research and improve healthcare outcomes globally.

We are looking for a Product Manager who combines strategic thinking, strong product judgment, and execution excellence to drive business and customer outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex enterprise environments, can navigate ambiguity with confidence, and enjoys solving meaningful problems at scale.

You will own multiple related enterprise products or capabilities, driving product strategy, prioritization, and business outcomes while partnering closely with customers, business stakeholders, and technology teams.

What You Will Be Doing

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Own the vision, roadmap, and outcomes for multiple enterprise products or capabilities
  • Drive product discovery to identify opportunities, validate problems, and define solutions
  • Translate business objectives into product strategies, roadmaps, and prioritized initiatives
  • Make thoughtful trade-offs across customer needs, business value, technical feasibility, and regulatory requirements
  • Support IT Business Partners in business case development and investment recommendations using insights, business value analysis, and data-driven decision making.

Product Delivery & Execution

  • Lead products through the full lifecycle from discovery and planning through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement
  • Partner closely with Engineering, UX, Architecture, PMO, Testing, Validation and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Own prioritization and backlog decisions while leveraging Business Analysts and delivery partners to drive execution
  • Monitor product performance and continuously refine priorities based on outcomes and feedback

Stakeholder & Business Leadership

  • Build strong partnerships across business, operations, technology, and customer-facing teams
  • Facilitate alignment across business and technology stakeholders to accelerate decision-making and execution.
  • Influence decisions through clear communication, structured thinking, and data-driven recommendations
  • Communicate product strategy, progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve business performance through simplification, automation, reuse, and technology-enabled innovation

What We're Looking For

  • 9–12 years of overall experience, including 4+ years in Product Management, Product Ownership, or other product-focused roles with demonstrated ownership of product strategy, prioritization, and business outcomes.
  • Experience owning enterprise software, SaaS platforms, workflow products, or business-critical technology solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to drive product strategy, prioritization, and business outcomes
  • Ability to articulate business value, evaluate investment trade-offs, and support data-driven decision-making
  • Strong product judgment with a proven track record of making effective trade-offs in complex environments
  • Experience working across engineering, business, operations, and leadership stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and influence without authority
  • Technology-literate with a strong understanding of enterprise platforms, integrations, data, automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and modern software delivery practices, with the ability to evaluate business value and technical trade-offs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering, preferably in computer science. MBA is a plus.
  • Experience in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Clinical Research, CRO, HealthTech, MedTech, or other regulated industries
  • Experience managing enterprise workflows, platform products, APIs, integrations, data products, or operational systems
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams and stakeholders
  • Experience owning a product domain comprising multiple products, capabilities, or workflows is highly desirable

 What Success Looks Like

  • Recognized as the owner of multiple enterprise products and their outcomes
  • Delivers measurable business and customer impact, not just features
  • Builds trust and influence across business and technology teams
  • Balances strategic thinking with execution excellence in a complex, regulated environment

 What We Offer

  • Opportunity to lead impactful products in a global, mission-driven organization
  • An energized, collaborative, and truly global team environment
  • Exposure to complex enterprise and healthcare technology challenges at scale
  • A culture that values ownership, innovation, and continuous learning

Employment with ICON is contingent upon having the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.
