Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in quality engineering practices, including manual and automated testing, performance testing, non-functional testing, and AI-enabled development methodologies.
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of application-agnostic UI and API test automation frameworks, ensuring a high standard of quality, scalability, and maintainability. This includes developing tools and solutions that help the Product Development organization improve quality and accelerate delivery.
• Define and implement testing, simulation, and evaluation strategies; identify and resolve automation framework challenges; and drive initiatives to reduce manual and automated regression testing efforts through AI-driven approaches and intelligent automation.
• Champion innovation in quality engineering through the adoption of AI-assisted testing, predictive quality analytics, telemetry-driven testing, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Actively participate in architecture, design, and requirements reviews, providing quality-focused recommendations and guidance. Function as an SME across multiple technologies, tools, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements definition through delivery, in alignment with Shift-Left principles.
• Analyze product quality trends, identify high-risk or high-change areas (hotspots), and develop strategic quality assurance solutions that proactively mitigate risks and improve overall product quality.
• Mentor and coach engineering teams on quality engineering best practices, modern testing approaches, AI-enabled quality solutions, and emerging technologies that enhance productivity and accelerate delivery.
• Provide continuous feedback on product quality, partner closely with development teams to resolve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across QA processes, frameworks, tools, and methodologies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 10+ years of experience in quality engineering, with a strong track record of ensuring product quality through both manual and automated testing. Proven expertise in designing and building test automation frameworks, developing quality engineering tools, integrating AI-driven capabilities, and leveraging database technologies. Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), QA infrastructure management, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Experience leveraging AI and machine learning technologies to enhance quality engineering processes, including intelligent test generation, test optimization, predictive quality analysis, and automation acceleration.
• Ability to analyze detailed architectural and design specifications, provide constructive feedback, and translate design requirements into effective quality engineering strategies and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and Engineering teams to analyze requirements, clarify scope, identify risks, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern test automation technologies such as WebDriverIO, Playwright, or equivalent frameworks for UI automation.
• Experience with API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, K6, or similar technologies, including the design and implementation of scalable API test frameworks.
• Hands-on knowledge of performance, scalability, reliability, and security testing methodologies, with the ability to guide and mentor teams in adopting these practices.
• Participate in code reviews and quality gate processes to ensure adherence to engineering best practices, coding standards, testability requirements, and quality objectives.
• Quickly develop and apply domain knowledge within the target business segments supported by the software solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites based on functional and technical design specifications while ensuring robust functional coverage and long-term maintainability.
• Extensive knowledge of software testing principles, quality engineering methodologies, test design techniques, risk-based testing approaches, and modern testing strategies, including Shift-Left and AI-assisted quality practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
• 4+ years of specialized/industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).

Additional Qualifications

• 7+ years of test automation experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
