Job description

Overview:


This is an infrastructure + L2/L3 support role (not software development). You will support production systems across cloud and on-prem, handle deployments/upgrades, reduce downtime, and support IS


Responsibilities:


  • Deploy, upgrade and maintain RTDS production environments (cloud + on-prem) to ensure high uptime
  • Provide L2/L3 support: troubleshooting, incident resolution, RCA, and service restoration
  • Administer AWS/Azure infrastructure, networking, and security
  • Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization
  • Execute safe deployments and upgrades with proper validation and rollback plans
  • Manage monitoring, alerting, logging, and KPI reporting to improve MTTR
  • Perform SQL Server administration (FCI setup, backups/restores, maintenance, SQL Agent jobs)
  • Own backup strategy, DR readiness, and testing
  • Maintain security controls and support ISO 27001:2022 compliance
  • Maintain documentation and support 24/7 operations, including on-call rotations

Qualifications:


Must-have


  • 4–7+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure / Systems / Platform Operations / Production Support
  • Engineering degree in Computer Science / IT (or a related field)
  • Hybrid infrastructure experience (cloud + on-prem, AWS/Azure)
  • Strong infrastructure knowledge: AD, IIS, MS SQL, clustering, load balancing, automation, CI/CD, DR/BCP
  • Virtualization expertise (VMware/Hyper-V) with networking and storage knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (backup, restore, maintenance)
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and monitoring/logging tool experience
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices for securing real-time systems.

Nice-to-have


  • ISO27001:2022 exposure, ITIL/ITSM, Jira/Zendesk
  • Cloud/infrastructure certifications (AWS/Azure, etc.)
