Program Manager - FinOps
At Amazon we strive to be Earth's most customer obsessed company. Our passion for invention leads us to continually pioneer and globalise new businesses and customer offerings. As a result, Amazon continues to grow and evolve across many different business lines.
In supporting this growth and evolution, Amazon Finance Operations (FinOps) goal is to deliver seamless procure to pay, order to cash and payroll processes that enable geographic and market expansion across all Amazon's businesses, from Retail, Digital and Advertising through to AWS and Logistics, while ensuring regulatory and legal compliance. As part of this growth we now seek a Customer Obsessed, Results Driven Program Manager for our FinOps Program Management Office (PMO) in the APAC region.
This is no ordinary Program Management role. You will own the lifecycle of complex, cross functional programs that touch every aspect of our diverse, fast paced global operations, leading cross functional teams to deliver large scale business transformations by working backwards from the core problem to challenge assumptions and make smart trade offs. You will leverage AI as a force multiplier across the entire delivery lifecycle, planning, coordinating, tracking, and delivering with rigour, while bringing high judgment to distinguish one way from two way door decisions and taking calculated risks in pursuit of breakthrough results. Are you ready to redefine what's possible in Program Management? Apply now and join the Amazon team driving the future of global technology and innovation.
Key job responsibilities
Your responsibilities will span seven core dimensions:
Stakeholder & Customer Understanding: Work closely with stakeholders across FinOps and partner teams to understand their problems, tools, and workflows. Gather requirements, identify needs and KPIs, separate real signal from one off requests, and drive discussions that lead to clear, aligned decisions.
Systems & Technical Awareness: Keep a solid grasp of the systems relevant to your program, including automation limits, integration dependencies, and scaling factors. Use AI across the full lifecycle to build and test program plans, map dependencies, aggregate status, coordinate testing, assess launch readiness, and turn post launch data into clear recommendations.
Strategic Thinking & Decision Making: Work backwards from the problem, questioning proposals and testing assumptions rather than defaulting to how things have always been done. Tell one way from two way door decisions, spot ideas that are too complex or risky, and make smart trade offs between time, quality, and resources.
Solution Design & Process Architecture: Design scalable program mechanisms that create predictable paths and lasting success. Apply process improvement methods, add or remove process as needed, steer teams clear of common failure modes, and keep strengthening FinOps PMO effectiveness.
Metrics & Judgment: Build measurement frameworks that separate output from outcome metrics. Define success metrics where they are missing, find the highest leverage input metrics, use AI to synthesise status and spot early signs of delivery risk, and decide confidently even when data is incomplete.
Execution & Results Delivery: Manage an existing program, delivering complex cross functional projects on time and with quality from start to finish. Own the schedule, control scope, oversee roll out, testing, and post launch support, and use AI to extend your capacity across the lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Communicate with and influence stakeholders across teams, including senior leaders up to Directors. Write effective narratives, shape priorities and decisions without authority, build consensus through constructive dialogue, and help recruit, mentor, and develop others.
