Job description

Req ID:523599

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your industrial planning expertise in a dynamic and innovative environment. You’ll work alongside collaborative, solution-oriented, and driven teammates.

You'll play a key role in managing the balance between demand (firm and forecast) and resources (manufacturing and procurement) to ensure we meet our customers' Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) expectations while optimising site resources, including people, machines, and cash. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, such as Project Planning, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance, while contributing to industrial planning, resource management, and bottleneck analysis, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of building and updating the Master Production Schedule, and ensuring data integrity in ERP and core planning tools, but also support stakeholders with production volume analysis and reporting.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Applying Industrial Planning Golden Rules and Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.

  • Consolidating and analysing demand forecasts from tender, project, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) teams.

  • Ensuring consistency and completeness of demand forecasts and implementing corrective actions when needed.

  • Building production plans while considering material, manpower, and machine availability.

  • Conducting resource management and bottleneck analysis to mitigate risks and propose solutions.

  • Monitoring production plan adherence and analysing root causes of delays.

  • Collaborating on S&OP cycles and contributing to decision-making processes with feasible scenarios.

  • Providing key performance indicator (KPI) reports on manufacturing throughput, production performance, and demand volatility.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • A Master’s degree from a university or engineering school.

  • Experience in supply chain or planning.

  • Knowledge of end-to-end industrial planning processes and their impact on ERP systems.

  • Proficiency in core planning tools, ERP systems, and Excel.

  • Good level of English (both written and spoken).

  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.

  • An innovative, proactive, and positive mindset.

  • Customer-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and autonomy.

  • Ability to synthesise and address critical issues effectively.

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from monotonous routines.

  • Work with cutting-edge tools and technologies in industrial planning and supply chain management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and supportive colleagues.

  • Contribute to innovative projects that shape the future of sustainable mobility.

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment.

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.

  • Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning programs.

  • Progress towards roles such as Project Planning Manager or other leadership positions.

  • Enjoy a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).
