Job description

RTR Functional Analyst

At Johnson Controls, we help customers create smarter, healthier, and more sustainable buildings. Our teams work across finance, operations, and technology to support business performance and deliver outcomes that matter.

In this role, you will help strengthen Record to Report processes and support key finance activities in a collaborative environment where accuracy, service, and continuous improvement are valued.

Role Overview

We are looking for an RTR Functional Analyst with 4-6 years of experience to support Oracle Fusion Financials processes, month-end close activities, and finance transformation initiatives. You will work closely with RTR leads and cross-functional stakeholders to improve process performance, support issue resolution, and help ensure reliable financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development, enhancement, and day-to-day operation of RTR processes and solutions in Oracle Fusion Financials.
  • Work with finance and project teams to analyze current and future-state R2R processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including process coordination, issue follow-up, and reporting support.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support general ledger, fixed assets, intercompany, and tax-related process requirements.
  • Participate in UAT by preparing scenarios, executing tests, documenting results, and tracking defects through resolution.
  • Gather business inputs, document process requirements, and help translate them into practical system and process solutions.
  • Prepare reports, validate data, and support decision-making with clear analysis and accurate documentation.
  • Partner with finance, IT, and other functional teams to resolve issues and support successful delivery of enhancements and projects.
How You Will Do It
  • You will own your deliverables with accuracy, accountability, and integrity, especially during month-end and issue resolution.
  • You will stay close to the process, understand upstream and downstream impacts, and remove blockers quickly for finance users and project teams.
  • You will use clear analysis, candor, and continuous improvement to simplify RTR activities, close gaps, and strengthen controls.
  • You will work as one team with finance, IT, and cross-functional partners, sharing knowledge and balancing different perspectives to reach the best outcome.
  • You will use Oracle Fusion Financials and Excel to validate data, analyze results, and support accurate reporting.
  • You will keep documentation current and communicate progress clearly so stakeholders understand risks, dependencies, and next steps.
  • You will bring a structured, proactive approach to testing, issue follow-up, and process coordination.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in RTR, record-to-report, finance operations, or ERP project environments.
  • Good understanding of Oracle Fusion Financials modules, including GL, FA, Intercompany, and Tax.
  • Familiarity with R2R business processes and month-end close processes.
  • Strong Excel skills, including working with data, formulas, and reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting ERP implementation activities or finance transformation programs.
  • Exposure to UAT, change management, or end-user training support.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, HFM, or OneStream.
Why Join Us

Join a team that values collaboration, practical problem-solving, and process excellence. At Johnson Controls, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful finance operations while contributing to an organization focused on delivering smarter and more sustainable outcomes.

If you are ready to bring your RTR expertise to a dynamic finance environment, we invite you to apply today.
