Job Title: Platform Architect (Salesforce)


Location: Hyderabad India

The job


The Platform Architect is a senior technical leader within the Salesforce Platform (CoE) team, responsible for defining and governing the end-to-end architecture, standards, and scalability of the Salesforce ecosystem.


This role ensures that all domain (Product) team solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, are scalable and secure, and support long-term business outcomes. The Platform Architect acts as a design authority contributor, enabling consistent, high-quality delivery across a complex, multi-domain Salesforce landscape.


Key responsibilities


1. Architecture Strategy & Governance


  • Define and evolve the Salesforce platform architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to enterprise goals


  • Establish and maintain architecture standards, design patterns, and guardrails across all product teams


  • Lead Design Authority (SDA) reviews, ensuring solution alignment, quality, and risk mitigation


2. Solution Architecture Oversight


  • Provide architectural oversight for cross-domain initiatives, including integrations, data models, and shared capabilities


  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, technical debt, and scalability challenges early in the design lifecycle


  • Ensure adherence to best practices, reusable frameworks, and development standards


3. Integration & Data Architecture


  • Define and govern the integration strategy, including patterns, APIs, and platform event design


  • Ensure data architecture consistency, including governance, data quality, and cross-system dependencies


  • Coordinate with enterprise architecture and data governance teams to manage cross-platform impacts


  • Drive reuse of integration services and shared data assets


4. Security, Compliance & Risk Management


  • Define and enforce security architecture, including RBAC, data access models, and platform controls


  • Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and SOX requirements


  • Review designs to ensure alignment with enterprise security and data protection standards


5. DevOps, Release & Platform Engineering Alignment


  • Partner with DevOps teams to define CI/CD strategy, release processes, and environment models


  • Drive automation, performance optimization, and reliability engineering practices


6. Enablement & Cross-Team Alignment


  • Promote reuse, standardization, and knowledge sharing across teams


  • Mentor solution architects and senior developers across domains


Essential requirements


Technical Expertise


  • Strong experience with Salesforce architecture (multi-cloud, enterprise scale)


  • Deep knowledge of:


    • Integration patterns (API-led, event-driven architectures)


    • Data modelling, large data volumes, and governance


    • Security architecture and access models


  • Experience with CI/CD, release management, and DevOps tooling


Architecture & Leadership


  • Proven ability to define and enforce architecture standards and governance


  • Experience leading complex, cross-domain solution design

Hybrid working
