Overview: Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced, servant-leader Scrum Master to support Agile delivery for an enterprise ecommerce application. This role will facilitate Scrum practices, coach cross-functional teams, remove delivery impediments, and help create a transparent, collaborative, and continuously improving environment. The Scrum Master will partner closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, developers, QA, UX, architecture, analytics, operations, business stakeholders, and external partners to enable predictable sprint execution and high-quality delivery of scalable digital commerce capabilities. The ideal candidate brings strong Agile facilitation, ecommerce application delivery experience, stakeholder communication, conflict resolution, and a continuous improvement mindset to help teams deliver customer value efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning sessions.
Coach ecommerce delivery teams on Agile values, Scrum principles, team working agreements, estimation, sprint goals, and continuous improvement practices.
Identify, track, escalate, and remove impediments that impact sprint execution, delivery predictability, quality, or team productivity.
Partner with Product Owners to ensure the ecommerce backlog is refined, prioritized, clearly understood, and ready for sprint execution.
Support cross-functional collaboration across engineering, QA, UX, architecture, analytics, security, DevOps, business operations, and vendor teams.
Promote transparency through Agile metrics, sprint health indicators, burn-down or flow data, risks, dependencies, and delivery progress reporting.
Help teams manage dependencies across ecommerce capabilities such as catalog, search, pricing, promotions, cart, checkout, payment, order management, fulfillment, and customer account experiences.
Facilitate decision-making, conflict resolution, and alignment between delivery teams, Product Owners, stakeholders, and leadership.
Shield teams from unnecessary distractions while ensuring appropriate communication, accountability, and stakeholder visibility.
Drive retrospectives and improvement actions that strengthen team maturity, delivery quality, collaboration, automation, testing, and release readiness.
Support Agile planning and delivery using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Miro, dashboards, or similar collaboration platforms.
