Senior Designer, Layout
About the Role
As a Senior Designer, Layout, you are an experienced, fully competent layout professional working independently to deliver high-quality solutions. You will handle diverse layout problems requiring sophisticated analysis and evaluation, while representing ADI on significant projects and serving as a technical resource for less experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities


  • Handles diverse layout problems requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation
  • Works with minimal supervision on complex assignments
  • Mentors junior engineers on technical aspects and best practices
  • Represents organization on key projects and initiatives
  • Independently designs and implements complex integrated circuit layouts
  • Performs advanced timing extraction and static timing analysis
  • Evaluates process flows from vendor library analysis through power usage
  • Contributes to IC architecture decisions and process improvements
  • Finfet node 16nm experience is required.


Must Have Skills


  • Advanced Layout Expertise: Broad application of layout principles and concepts with established proficiency
  • Technical Mastery: Advanced skills in IC layout, CMOS technology, static timing analysis, power analysis, and EDA tools
  • Process Optimization: Ability to evaluate and optimize layout designs for performance, power, and manufacturability
  • Business Acumen: Good understanding of business objectives and market position
  • Team Communication: Strong group communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts


Preferred Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
