Role Description


  • The Lending Department within Private Bank Germany is responsible for the entire lifecycle of mortgage and consumer loans, as well as securitization solutions. This critical department is supported by several specialized teams.


  • In recent years, we have developed the Credit Opening Service (COS) – Consumer Finance group, a robust service layer that provides a set of well-defined, structured, and reusable Lending Services (APIs) for all internal and external stakeholders. The COS is continuously expanding to integrate and offer services in a dynamically evolving environment.


  • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on CI/CD to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid and reliable software delivery.


  • You will leverage your expertise in automation, containerization, and cloud platforms to streamline development workflows, enhance operational efficiency, and foster a culture of continuous integration and continuous deployment.

Your key responsibilities


  • CI/CD Pipeline Development & Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab, Ansible, UC4-BatchHost, and Urban Code Deploy (UCD) to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring increased deployment frequency and reliability.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform to ensure consistent, repeatable, and scalable environment provisioning across on-premise and cloud platforms.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Implement and manage Docker containerization strategies, including Dockerfiles and Helm charts, and orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes across various cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS).
  • Cloud Platform Management: Leverage expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to deploy/migrate, monitor, and manage applications and infrastructure. Provide support for cloud-native services and architecture (e.g., Cloud-IDP, OpenShift).
  • Database & Fabric2.0 Operations: Manage, monitor, and support critical database systems, including ExaCC migrations (e.g., to Exa Premium). Develop and execute database scripting for schema changes, data migrations, and performance tuning. Analyse AWR-Reports for performance optimization and troubleshoot database-related issues.
  • Application & Infrastructure Monitoring: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive monitoring solutions for applications and infrastructure. This includes configuring and managing tools like Splunk, New Relic, and Geneos for end-to-end performance visibility, alert management, and proactive issue identification.
  • Toolchain Integration & Configuration Management: Integrate and manage development platforms such as BitBucket, Artifactory, Confluence, and Jira. Manage and configure critical application components and integration layers like Glue and Apigee.
  • Scripting & Automation: Utilize strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Shell scripting, JavaScript/Node.js) to automate routine tasks, improve system efficiency, enhance pipeline capabilities, and support operational workflows.
  • Certificate Management & Security Governance: Manage the lifecycle of digital certificates using tools like CertHub. Actively participate in security governance activities, including Quantum Risk Mitigation, to ensure compliance and security best practices.
  • Software Development Lifecycle Enhancement: Apply strong understanding of software development processes, models, and methodologies to optimize workflows and drive continuous improvement.
  • Multi-Platform Architecture Support: Provide expertise and support for application development and deployment across multi-platform architectures.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex CI/CD, infrastructure, database, and application-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance of systems.

Your skills and experience


Must Have:


  • A Bachelor of Science or master’s degree with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline.
  • Deep technical skills in at least one core language environment (e.g., Java, Javascript (NodeJS/TypeScript), Python, Shell scripting).
  • Extensive experience with automation and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, Ansible, Urban Code Deploy (UCD), and UC4-BatchHost.
  • Proven experience with development platforms including BitBucket, Artifactory, Confluence, and Jira.
  • Strong experience with Docker containerization and clustering technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Dockerfiles, and Helm across major cloud providers (GCP/Azure/AWS).
  • Solid experience with application development and multi-platform architecture.
  • Strong experience in software development processes, models, lifecycles, and methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proven experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
  • Demonstrated experience in database administration and monitoring, particularly with Oracle technologies (e.g., ExaCC, AWR-Reports) and database scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-level monitoring tools such as Splunk, New Relic, and Geneos.
  • Experience with IT Service Management processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management) and tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Familiarity with certificate management processes and tools.
  • Understanding of security governance frameworks and concepts like Quantum Risk Mitigation.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
