Job Purpose To provide Level 2 technical support for Azure infrastructure and services in a complex, high-availability environment.
The role involves supporting day-to-day cloud operations, resolving escalated issues, assisting in large-scale cloud migrations, and ensuring performance, security, and reliability of mission-critical workloads hosted on Azure.
Duties and Responsibilities A- Minimum required Accountabilities for this role B- Additional Accountabilities pertaining to the role Major Challenges • Supporting heavy workloads in a multi-account, multi-region Azure environment.
• Ensuring high availability and performance during live migrations or failover activities.
• Managing escalated issues across a hybrid cloud or legacy-to-cloud migration setup.
• Maintaining compliance, security, and monitoring standards in a dynamic infrastructure environment.
• Collaborating across multiple teams (infra, security, application, DevOps) under tight SLAs.
Required Qualifications and Experience a) Qualifications • Graduation in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Azure Infrastructure support or System Administration.
b) Work Experience • Strong experience with Azure core services:virtual Machine, storage, IAM, virtual Network, monitor, Postgresql, Load Balancers, Function app, ACA, AKS, ACR, private endpoint.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking (NAT gateways, route tables, Network security groups).
• Ability to troubleshoot Linux/Windows VMs in Azure.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Knowledge of backup, DR, and cost optimization strategies.
• Clear communication and incident handling skills.
• Execute operational tasks: instance resizing, disk expansion, snapshot verification, patching, etc.
• Ensure security compliance and policy enforcement via IAM roles, KMS, Storage policies, and encryption.
• Maintain detailed documentation including infrastructure diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs.
• Participate in incident management and root cause analysis (RCA) for high-severity issues.
