As a Senior Engineer within our Water business, you will contribute to the planning, hydraulic modelling, and design of critical water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure projects serving communities worldwide.



Role Outline / Responsibilities



As a Senior Engineer – Conveyance, you will independently deliver engineering and modelling tasks for water and wastewater network projects while supporting project leads and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.



Key Duties



  • Undertake hydraulic modelling and engineering design of water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
  • Develop and maintain hydraulic models for planning and design studies.
  • Perform:
    • Demand and load assessments
    • Capacity analyses
    • Hydraulic calculations
    • Network performance evaluations
  • Prepare engineering designs for:
    • Water mains
    • Sewer networks
    • Rising mains
    • Associated conveyance infrastructure
  • Conduct network optioneering and evaluate alternative solutions.
  • Prepare design calculations, technical reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of capital investment plans and implementation strategies.
  • Coordinate with GIS, BIM, civil, mechanical, electrical, and treatment teams.
  • Review model outputs and engineering calculations for technical accuracy.
  • Support preparation of client presentations and technical submissions.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings and technical workshops.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control activities.
  • Identify technical risks and escalate issues when required.
  • Provide guidance and support to graduate and junior engineers.

  • 8+ years of experience in water and wastewater conveyance planning, modelling, and design.
  • Experience using industry-standard hydraulic modelling software.
  • Understanding of:
    • Water distribution networks
    • Wastewater collection systems
    • Pumping systems and rising mains
    • Master planning principles
  • Experience preparing technical reports and design calculations.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Familiarity with international design standards and best practices.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience supporting international water infrastructure projects.

Preferred



  • Master's Degree in Water Resources, Hydraulic, or Environmental Engineering.
