We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Engineer with proven expertise in hands-on development.
This role is responsible for building solutions, configurations, scripting, integrations and automation test frameworks (ATF) across the ServiceNow platform (ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, Event Management, Service Portal, and enterprise integrations).
The ideal candidate will bring ServiceNow development and Scripting experience including ServiceNow ATFs with strong skills in ATF, APIs, and JavaScript, bridging quality assurance and engineering delivery to ensure high-performing, scalable ServiceNow solutions.
Key Responsibilities Hands-on ServiceNow Development Configure and customize applications, workflows, and integrations using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, Client Scripts, Business Rules, and UI Policies.
Manage update sets, migration, and development lifecycle activities.
Collaborate with architects/developers to ensure testability in designs.
Develop and support integrations using REST, SOAP, and Integration Hub.
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline automation for faster, reliable deployments.
Quality Engineering & Assurance Analyze requirements and ServiceNow specifications to design scalable test cases, data, and scenarios.
Plan, execute, and document manual and automated testing across ServiceNow modules, workflows, and integrations.
Build and maintain automation frameworks using ATF.
Define and execute upgrade/patch test strategies ensuring high coverage and minimal disruption.
Collaboration & Leadership Work with analysts, product owners, and developers to align on requirements and deliverables.
Collaborating across multiple time zones with global teams.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (refinement, planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
Champion a quality-first mindset across engineering and business stakeholders.
8+ years of proven experience in ServiceNow Development, manual and automation testing, with deep knowledge of ServiceNow modules (Some of these include ITSM, Service Catalog, CSDM, ITOM).
Strong expertise in ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) and external automation tools such as Selenium, Rest Assured, Postman, SOAP UI.
Hands-on experience with API testing for ServiceNow integrations.
Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs) to develop/modify Client Scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, Catalog Scripts, and Flow Designer logic.
Experience with update set migration, ServiceNow development lifecycle, and deployment processes.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow upgrades, patch testing, and defect management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to anticipate risks, enforce QA standards, and recommend improvements.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables, while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Proven ability to work in offshore–onshore delivery models, collaborating across multiple time zones with global teams.
