The Service Sales Support Engineer will be responsible for driving aftermarket service sales support activities for Industrial Steam Turbines, including preparation and submission of commercial offers for spare parts, repairs, overhauls, and service solutions. The role requires proactive identification of service opportunities, close coordination with cross-functional teams, timely quotation management and order booking to support business growth and enhance customer satisfaction. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of steam turbine technology, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage customer requirements throughout the sales and order fulfillment cycle. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business support • Proactively monitor Salesforce and other business systems to identify new service opportunities for Industrial Steam Turbines. • Prepare and submit competitive offers for: o Spare Parts o Repairs and Refurbishments o Turbine & Generators Overhauls o Field Service Support o Long-Term Service Agreements (where applicable) Proposal & Quotation Management • Develop techno-commercial proposals based on customer requirements and equipment condition. • Maintain strong focus on improving Quotation Response Time (QRT) and ensure prompt submission of offers. • Coordinate with Engineering, Field Service, Project Management, Operations, Procurement, and Sales team to obtain technical and commercial inputs. • Ensure quotations are accurate, competitive, and aligned with company policies. Order Management & Execution Support • Ensure timely order booking and complete documentation. • Monitor order processing activities and coordinate with internal stakeholders to meet committed delivery schedules. • Follow up on customer purchase orders, clarifications, and contract requirements. • Support issue resolution during order execution and delivery stages. Technical Support • Maintain strong understanding of Industrial Steam Turbine products, components, and service offerings. • Review customer technical requirements and recommend suitable spare parts and repair solutions. • Support preparation of scope definitions for overhaul and maintenance activities. Reporting & Compliance • Maintain accurate opportunity, quotation, and order data in Salesforce and related systems. • Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and commercial guidelines. Travel Travel to customer sites and internal locations as required to support business development and customer engagement activities. ________________________________________ Required Qualifications & Skills Education • Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering. Experience • 5–8 years of experience in Sales Support, Inside Sales, Service Sales, or Aftermarket Services. • Preferably within the Industrial Steam Turbine, Rotating Equipment, Power Generation, or Heavy Engineering industry. Technical Competencies • Good knowledge of Industrial Steam Turbine technology and applications. • Understanding of turbine maintenance, overhauls, repairs, and spare parts. • Ability to interpret technical documents, drawings, and service requirements. Commercial Competencies • Strong understanding of commercial terms and conditions. • Knowledge of contract management, pricing, costing, and profitability considerations. • Ability to prepare and evaluate techno-commercial proposals. Soft Skills • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Strong customer orientation and relationship management ability. • Effective coordination and stakeholder management skills. • Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities. • Experience working with CRM tools such as Salesforce. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
