You’ll also work on workforce planning, talent development, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of aligning HR strategies with business objectives and driving employee engagement initiatives, but also ensuring compliance with labor laws and managing performance cycles.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Providing strategic HR guidance to business leaders and employees

  • Ensuring the implementation of HR policies and processes in line with company standards

  • Managing recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning

  • Overseeing the implementation of salary reviews, incentive schemes, and job grading updates

  • Coordinating training and talent development programs

  • Fostering a culture of feedback, career development, and employee engagement

  • Driving compliance with ethics and labor laws

  • Supporting organizational change and communication initiatives

  • Managing employee relations, including performance improvement and disciplinary processes

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • University degree in human resources, psychology, business studies, social sciences, or a related field

  • MBA with a specialization in Human Resources (preferred)

  • 15 to 20 years of HR experience in a comparable industry/environment, with at least 4 years as a Plant HR Manager

  • Comprehensive understanding of Indian labor laws, employee relations, and payroll management

  • Experience in managing HR operational aspects such as talent availability, salary and benefits, and compliance

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Ability to influence, collaborate, and manage conflict effectively

  • Business acumen and a proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Intercultural awareness and adaptability in a matrix organization

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from monotonous routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and supportive colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects that make a difference

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning programs

  • Progress towards leadership opportunities within Alstom

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
