Ensures that Dell’s Cloud Service delivers the service performance, reliability and availability expected by our customers and internal client groups. SRE teams are continuously improving the management automation of our Cloud Service, with the objective of enabling industrialized fleet management at scale. Refine and deliver requirements for service enhancements with product engineering teams and collaborate with key Cloud Services Product Managers and stakeholders. Collaborate with DevOps / DevSecOps teams proactively to build reliability and security into their services without disrupting the CI/CD pipeline. Be a technical leader within a global team that defines, measures, and optimizes SLIs, SLOs, and Error budgets for product offerings Work towards the reduction of Toil on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities:

You will:


  • Define and evolve how AI transforms ways of working across the organization, including structure, productivity, and work tracking
  • Design, implement, and maintain observability and SRE solutions using modern AI tools and technologies (Python, Ansible, etc.)
  • Standardize and scale Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and establish best practices for reliability, observability, backup, and disaster recovery
  • Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and automation issues across development and production environments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor engineers while leveraging AI tools to enhance developer productivity, quality, and continuous improvement

Essential Requirements


  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure automation, or IT operations, with strong Python expertise for automation and system integration
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible (or similar tools), Linux/Unix administration, and solid networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, routing, firewalls, load balancing)
  • Proven track record with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), version-controlled workflows, and collaborative development using Git
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted coding tools, agents, and modern IDEs in day-to-day engineering work
  • Strong system design, documentation, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to operate confidently in production environments

Desirable Requirements


  • Experience across cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), along with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
  • Knowledge of security and operations practices including secrets management, identity and access control, ITSM processes, and designing high-availability, disaster recovery solutions, with experience influencing technical standards and architecture
