- Lead and grow a team of 10+ SDEs, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and professional development

- Drive delivery of multiple high-visibility yearly goals
- Partner with Product and Ops stakeholders to shape the team roadmap
Product
- Own and drive Operational and Engineering Excellence goals for the team
- Manage existing services while architecting new solutions for upcoming launches across geographies
About the team
We are the MAP (Middle East and Asia Pacific) Affordability team under International Emerging Stores Payments (IESP) organisation. Our vision for the organisation is to make payments trusted, convenient, and rewarding through strategic execution across multiple markets and regions. Following on this vision, we're not just processing transactions — we're reimagining how Installment products are built at Amazon, making affordable payment options accessible to every customer across MENA and APAC regions. As part of this process, we're building engineering teams to move fast, think big, and turn that vision into reality.
- 4+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
