The SAP Commissions Developer will implement, optimize, and maintain the SAP Commissions platform (formerly SAP SuccessFactors Incentive Management). In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders to translate complex sales compensation structures into robust, scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities


  • Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to document business requirements and translate them into technical and functional specifications.
  • Architecture & Design: Design modular, scalable compensation plans aligned with business strategies and organizational architectural frameworks.
  • Platform Configuration: Configure plans and rules within SAP Commissions, maximizing the platform's native application capabilities.
  • System Integration: Manage and automate data stage and data load processes between Commissions, SPM Home, and external sources.
  • Pipeline Management: Execute pipelines, analyze compensation results, perform root-cause analysis for payment gaps, and resolve calculation issues.
  • Automation & Optimization: Enhance existing implementations through process automation, performance tuning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, IT, and Sales Operations, to ensure data integrity and seamless deployment.

Qualifications:

Required Skills & Experience (Must Have)


  • Core Expertise: 4–6 years of hands-on experience with SAP Commissions / SAP SuccessFactors Incentive Management.
  • Plan Configuration: Proven experience configuring credits, measurements, incentives, and deposit rules across diverse business use cases.
  • Compensation Elements: Deep expertise in advanced platform elements including classifiers, lookup tables, rate tables, and formulas.
  • Advanced Logic: Strong understanding of complex compensation concepts such as proration, draws, clawbacks, leaves, Paycurve, windfall, SPIFF, and holds.
  • Data & SQL: Proficient with SAP Commission database tables, data stage setups, data load processes, and writing advanced SQL queries or stagehook.
  • Workflow Management: Direct experience utilizing SAP Advanced Workflow for approvals and task management.
  • Analytics: Well-versed in creating interactive stories and reporting dashboards using Embedded Analytics.

Preferred Skills & Experience (Good to Have)


  • Certifications: Official certification in SAP Commissions.
  • Extended SPM Modules: Familiarity with SAP Territory and Quota management.
  • Security & Identity: Experience with configuration and setup in SAP IAS (Identity Authentication Service) and IPS (Identity Provisioning Service).
  • ETL Tools: Familiarity with Informatica or similar tools for ETL data processing.
  • External BI: Experience with Power BI or alternative enterprise reporting and analytics tools
