As a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor here at Honeywell, you will lead and oversee a team of mechanical engineers, ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects and the delivery of high-quality mechanical designs. You will provide technical guidance, support, and mentorship to your team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment that drives innovation and continuous improvement.


You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our location on a Hybrid work schedule.


In this role, you will impact project outcomes by managing engineering resources effectively, ensuring adherence to design standards, and driving the development of mechanical solutions that meet customer requirements and business goals

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and supervise a team of mechanical engineers to deliver high-quality mechanical designs and solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance
  • Ongoing collaboration with global site leaders to gain insight into current and future projects, as well as the support needed at various levels.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, schedules, and priorities. Ensure all projects are completed within scope, on time, and budget.
  • Conduct design reviews, identify risks, and provide recommendations. Ensure that detailed documentation for designs, drawings, and specifications is maintained to company standards.
  • Equipment sizing, selection, and detailed engineering of compressor support systems in accordance with the latest API Standards (main & auxiliary drivers, heat exchangers, seal gas heaters, lube oil pumps, instruments, gages, surge control valves and systems, etc.)

Qualifications:
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in mechanical rotating equipment engineering and team supervision
  • Working knowledge of rotating equipment like compressors, pumps, turbines, etc. and auxiliary support systems like dry gas seal systems, lube oil systems, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, valves, filters, etc.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of applicable industry standards (API-617, 692, 614, ASME Pressure Vessel Code, ASME Standards, AGMA, NACE, etc.)
  • Experience in managing engineering projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives
