About this opportunity



The Network Operations Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of enterprise network infrastructure. The role ensures high network availability, security, and performance through proactive monitoring, preventive maintenance, incident resolution, network upgrades, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This position plays a key role in delivering reliable network services, supporting customer projects, driving operational excellence, and contributing to network transformation initiatives.



What you will do



  • Monitor, operate, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Perform proactive health checks, preventive maintenance, and capacity monitoring to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive actions.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, software patching, firmware updates, and infrastructure lifecycle activities.
  • Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and load balancers.
  • Support customer projects by implementing firewall policy changes, port opening requests, and other network-related changes.
  • Coordinate with local support teams for hardware replacement, break-fix activities, RMA management, and on-site troubleshooting.
  • Participate in change management activities to ensure successful implementation with minimal service impact.
  • Support security initiatives, including firewall policy management, vulnerability remediation, and network hardening.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, cloud, and project teams to support network transformation programs.

You will bring



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Tech) or a related field.
  • 7–15 years of experience in enterprise network operations or network support.
  • Strong expertise in Routing & Switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and MPLS.
  • Hands-on experience with firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco, or Fortinet.
  • Knowledge of VPN, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, load balancing, network monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to cloud networking environments such as AWS and Azure is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Python and Ansible for network automation is an advantage.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, PCNSE, or ITIL Foundation are preferred.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment while driving continuous improvement.
