Your role and responsibilities
  • Administer and manage SFTP servers and secure file transfer infrastructure.
  • Create, modify, and disable SFTP user accounts and access permissions.
  • Configure folders, directory permissions, and user isolation.
  • Troubleshoot file transfer failures and connectivity issues.
  • Monitor SFTP services and ensure high availability.
  • Configure SSH keys, certificates, and authentication mechanisms.
  • Perform server health checks, patching, upgrades, and backup verification.
  • Coordinate with application and business teams for onboarding new file transfer partners.

  • Maintain file retention, archival, and housekeeping activities.
  • Administer and maintain OPSWAT MetaDefender platform.
  • Configure malware scanning and Content Disarm & Reconstruction (CDR) policies.
  • Manage file scanning workflows and security policies.
  • Monitor malware detection alerts and investigate suspicious files.
  • Configure integration with SFTP, email gateways, and other security solutions.
  • Perform signature updates and health monitoring.
  • Generate operational and security reports.
  • Troubleshoot scanning failures and integration issues.


Required education
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred education
Master's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise
  • SFTP administration (OpenSSH, Globalscape, GoAnywhere, MOVEit, or similar)
  • SSH key management
  • Linux administration
  • OPSWAT MetaDefender administration
  • Malware scanning and CDR concepts

  • Windows and Linux operating systems


Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Linux Administration (RHCSA/RHCE)
  • Security+
  • OPSWAT MetaDefender Training (preferred)

  • SSH/SFTP Administration Training
