Job description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven professional to join Valmet’s, IT Transformation's, Lead to Order Process domain Team as Salesforce Test Engineer. In this role, you will ensure the high-quality standards for our applications and integrations. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive test plans, collaborating closely with developers and business stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement in our QA processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about delivering reliable, user-friendly solutions.  



The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of Salesforce testing experience.


Areas of responsibility


  • Lead a small team of 2-3 Test Engineers


  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for Salesforce applications.


  • Maintain and create new test automation scripts


  • Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.


  • Validate deployments across multiple Salesforce environments (sandbox, UAT, production).  


  • Work closely with developers, admins, and business stakeholders to align QA processes with project goals.


  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.


  • Provide clear and actionable QA metrics and reports to stakeholders.


Basic requirements of the position


  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.


  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform, including configuration and customization.


  • Should have worked on Sales, Service and Experience Cloud testing projects


  • Experience with QA methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking tools (e.g. Jira).


  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g. Selenium, Copado Robotic Testing)


  • Ability to design effective test plans for complex business processes.


  • Excellent written and verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration.


  • 5+ years in QA roles, with at least 4 years focused on Salesforce projects and 2 years in leading a small team


  • Good to have -


    • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator).


    • Testing methodology certifications (e.g. ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA)


  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Fluent spoken and written English language


  • Good communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders


  • Collaborate closely with developers, admins, and business stakeholders to align implementation with project goals.


  • Recommend process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.


  • Familiarity with Western business practices and work culture
