Role Purpose:

The Senior Drilling Engineer serves as the key interface between the Drilling Department and the Project Department, ensuring seamless integration of drilling, completion and well flow back activities within the overall project scopes. Responsible for planning, coordinating and executing deepwater well construction operations of Tangkulo Development Project while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, schedule and cost.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure seamless integration of D&C well construction activities within overall project scope and compliance with DWES, WIMS, regulatory and industry standards.
• Develop and manage the D&C interface schedule for the Tangkulo Development Project, identifying risks and resolving schedule issues.
• Drive strong HSSE and process safety culture across drilling and subsea activities.
• Facilitate clear communication between Drilling, Subsurface, Project teams, and internal drilling functions (Drilling, Completion, Well Testing).
• Interface with SPS teams to support delivery of subsea requirements including CLS, IWOCS, ROV operations, HXT deployment, SITs, and wellhead stack-up tests.
• Lead drilling input into feasibility studies, conceptual design, execution planning, and project decision-making.
• Monitor project progress, maintain accurate documentation, and support risk assessments and Management of Change (MoC) processes.
• Collaborate with Subsurface, Project, and Operations teams to ensure well objectives are met within approved milestones and budgets.
• Identify and implement efficiency improvements, including subsea-specific optimization opportunities.
• Contribute to hazard identification (HAZID/HAZOP), DWOP/CWOP/TWOP, SIMOPs, and pre-job planning activities.
• Provide Wells input to handover documentation and support updates to the Well Delivery Process and DWES.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety or operational integrity.
• Build strong collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout planning and execution.
  
  

Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

Education:

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Experience:

• 15+ years of relevant experience, including:
• 10+ years in offshore and deepwater drilling engineering, operations and subsea responsibility.
• Offshore Supervisory experience

Skills:

1. Knowledge
   1. Strong understanding of deepwater well design, subsea systems, and drilling technologies.
      
   2. Proven track record in project coordination and interfacing with multidisciplinary teams.
   3. Experience in contractor and vendor management within offshore drilling environments.

   1. Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
   2. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
   3. Organized and structured worker, able to meet multiple tight deadlines.
   4. Willingness to be flexible in work location, prepared for travel.

   6. Good written and oral command of the English Language.
   7. Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and Adobe packages.
