Our client, a leading financial institution headquartered in Dublin, is seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to join their growing technology team. This is a key role within a dynamic, fast-paced environment where innovation and collaboration drive the delivery of world-class digital solutions across the organisation.
The successful candidate will play a central role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications using Python and React, supporting critical business functions and ensuring a seamless user experience for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications using Python (backend) and React.js (frontend).
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support scalable and secure integrations.
  • Implement best practices for clean, maintainable, and testable code across the stack.
  • Contribute to the architecture and technical design of new and existing systems.
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and security standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Work within an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing systems for performance and reliability.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and frameworks relevant to the financial services sector.
Key Requirements
  • 3–6 years’ experience as a Full Stack or Software Engineer, ideally within financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with frameworks such as Django or FastAPI.
  • Solid experience developing modern web applications using React.js and associated libraries (e.g. Redux, React Query, Next.js).
  • Experience with RESTful API design and integration.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong focus on code quality, security, and scalable architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
