Responsibilities:
  • Supervises and coordinates the work of engineers of the mechanical department
  • Places and appropriately utilizes employees
  • Monitors employees’ compliance with safety and labour protection, fire safety requirements, operational and labour discipline
  • Organizes competence development of site employees
  • Developing requirement Work Packs  
  • Co-ordination and management of site surveys  
  • Analysing and presenting site survey results  
  • Review of specifications and drawings produced by the LLP  
  • Ensure safety in design and HSE requirements 
  • Undertake checking and approval activities in accordance with company procedures
  • Coordinates the maintenance of a high standard of work performed throughout the life cycle of the project
  • Coordinate all activities and work as requested by Engineering and Project Managers
  • The direction, control, supervision and co-ordination of engineering work to ensure timely and consistent delivery
  • Perform project site survey visit for data collection  
  • Recruitment, Selection, Development and coaching of engineering team  
  • Expert knowledge of engineering methodologies, software systems and design practices relating to FEED, detail design, commissioning and start up within the offshore and onshore oil & gas industry  
  • Functionally co-ordinates all Project Mechanical Engineers and designers   
  • Co-ordinates the Mechanical contribution within multi-discipline designs 
  • Responsible to ensure a high standard of delivery is maintained, throughout the life cycle of projects
  • Organise and manage kick-off and regular progress meetings with discipline engineers and ensure that any required actions are taken and closed out in a timely manner. Will ensure project reporting is timely and accurate
  • Ensure adherence to company /client’s policies, procedures and core values
  • Provides training, mentoring and technical guidance to engineers and designers working in the group

Qualifications:
  • At least 7+ years of experience in the oil and gas and/or engineering industry
  • At least 10 years old in a similar position
  • Higher technical education
  • Onshore oil & gas related design experience
  • Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates   
  • Professional level of knowledge of applicable codes and standards     
  • Proven experience managing teams of Engineers  
  • Knowledge of International O&G standards
