The role

We are seeking a highly experienced Resident Engineer/ Construction Supervision Manager to lead construction supervision activities for a major water infrastructure project. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of critical water transmission, pumping, and distribution assets, ensuring construction, testing, commissioning, and handover activities are completed in accordance with project requirements, international engineering standards, and quality expectations.

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary site supervision team responsible for the delivery of major water infrastructure works.
• Oversee construction, testing, commissioning, and handover activities for water transmission, pumping, and distribution facilities.
• Act as the primary liaison between the client, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and project delivery.
• Review engineering submissions, technical documentation, and construction methodologies to verify compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Monitor project progress, quality, safety, resource utilization, and construction performance across multiple work fronts.
• Facilitate technical and progress review meetings with project stakeholders and support timely resolution of construction and contractual matters.
• Oversee inspection, testing, commissioning, and performance verification activities to ensure infrastructure assets meet operational requirements.
• Lead contract administration activities, including assessment of variations, claims, payment applications, and project close-out documentation.
• Provide strategic advice on project risks, technical challenges, and contractual issues while supporting successful project outcomes.
• Prepare progress reports, presentations, and project documentation while promoting knowledge sharing and effective team development.

With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

• Master’s degree in civil engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 20 years’ experience in engineering, construction supervision, or infrastructure project delivery, including senior leadership roles on major projects.
• Demonstrated experience as a Resident Engineer, Project Manager, Construction Manager, or similar leadership role on large-scale infrastructure, utilities, water, transportation, or industrial projects.
• Extensive experience working under internationally recognized forms of contract, including FIDIC.
• Excellent client relationship management, communication, negotiation, and technical reporting skills.
• Strong English language proficiency, both written and verbal.
