Key Responsibilities:


  1. Supervise Maintenance Team
    • Lead and manage the maintenance team, including scheduling, task delegation, and performance evaluation.
    • Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure all maintenance personnel are knowledgeable and efficient in their roles.
  2. Preventative Maintenance Program
    • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to ensure all hotel equipment, systems, and facilities are in optimal working condition.
    • Schedule regular inspections of hotel rooms, common areas, and all equipment to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
  3. Repair and Maintenance
    • Oversee and carry out routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs.
    • Respond to urgent repair requests promptly and ensure that issues are resolved quickly to minimize any disruption to hotel operations or guest services.
    • Coordinate with external contractors when specialized services are required and ensure they complete tasks to standard.
  4. Facility Management
    • Monitor the condition of the hotel's facilities, including guest rooms, common areas, conference rooms, restaurants, pools, fitness centers, and exterior spaces to ensure all areas are well-maintained and safe for guests and staff.
    • Ensure that all fire safety, security systems, and emergency equipment (e.g., alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers) are fully operational and compliant with local regulations.
  5. Inventory and Supplies Management
    • Maintain an adequate inventory of parts, tools, and equipment required for repairs and ensure timely ordering of supplies when necessary.

  7. Budget and Cost Control
    • Assist in preparing and managing the maintenance department’s budget, ensuring that all repair and maintenance work is performed cost-effectively.
    • Track expenditures related to repairs, projects, and improvements, and work with management to minimize costs while maintaining quality.
  8. Guest Service & Satisfaction
    • Address guest requests and concerns related to maintenance promptly and efficiently to ensure guest satisfaction and a positive hotel experience.
    • Communicate effectively with other departments (housekeeping, front desk, etc.) to coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks without disrupting operations or guest comfort.
  9. Energy and Water Conservation Initiatives
    • Lead efforts to improve energy efficiency and reduce water consumption within the hotel by implementing sustainable practices and monitoring the effectiveness of installed systems like high-efficiency taps, showerheads, and HVAC systems.
  10. Emergency Response
    • Act as the first point of contact for emergency maintenance issues, including responding to system failures, leaks, and power outages, and coordinate repair efforts as needed to restore normal operations.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and general maintenance skills.
