Job description

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC & Maintenance Manager to lead quality assurance, food safety, and maintenance operations for a leading food manufacturing company. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and equipment reliability while driving continuous improvement across production operations.

Job Description

As the QA/QC & Maintenance Manager, you will:

  • Lead Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Food Safety, and Maintenance functions.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, ISO/FSSC 22000, and other food safety standards.
  • Monitor production processes to maintain product quality and food safety throughout all manufacturing stages.
  • Develop and implement quality management systems, inspection procedures, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Conduct internal audits, food safety inspections, and regulatory audit preparations.
  • Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conforming products through root cause analysis.
  • Manage supplier quality evaluations and oversee raw material, packaging, and finished product inspections.
  • Implement traceability, product recall, and calibration programs.
  • Lead preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize production downtime.
  • Train and mentor production and quality teams on GMP, food safety, hygiene, and standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare quality, maintenance, and compliance reports for management while maintaining accurate documentation.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in food manufacturing or food processing.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000, and food safety management systems.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, quality control, and production process monitoring.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation skills.
  • Experience leading maintenance programs and ensuring equipment reliability.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and staff training abilities.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Dates processing or food manufacturing.
  • Fruit, cereal, or grain processing industries.
  • Vacuum packaging, thermoforming, or Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP).
  • Government inspection agencies or food safety consultancy.
  • HACCP, FSSC 22000, or Lead Auditor certification.
