The role


We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to support the delivery of major water and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will provide technical oversight of structural and civil construction activities, ensuring works are executed in accordance with approved designs, industry standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.


  • Provide technical supervision and oversight of structural and civil construction activities across major infrastructure developments.
  • Monitor the construction of reinforced concrete and heavy civil structures, including foundations, water-retaining facilities, and associated infrastructure assets.
  • Review engineering submissions, shop drawings, construction methodologies, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Verify the quality and accuracy of structural works through inspections, monitoring of construction activities, and review of testing results.
  • Oversee material compliance, workmanship standards, and laboratory testing programmes to support quality assurance objectives.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of quality control and inspection processes for structural construction activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, non-conformances, and project quality documentation.
  • Contribute technical input to project reporting, progress monitoring, and construction issue resolution.
  • Review completion documentation and as-built records to verify compliance with approved requirements and project deliverables.
  • Support knowledge sharing and mentoring initiatives within the project team.

With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.


Suitable applicants will have/be:


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in structural engineering, construction supervision, or infrastructure delivery projects.
  • Proven experience supervising reinforced concrete, heavy civil, water-retaining, or critical infrastructure structures.
  • Strong knowledge of structural design standards, construction quality assurance, and site inspection processes.
  • Experience reviewing technical drawings, construction methodologies, testing programmes, and quality documentation.
  • Professional registration and experience with foundation, geotechnical, water, or utilities infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and technical reporting skills, with English language proficiency essential; Arabic language skills would be beneficial.
